The staff and community at Sparta schools understands that school is about not only academic performance but about relationships and skill development in a wide range of life-enhancing areas. Accordingly, we value and offer our students many opportunities. Through the cooperative efforts of the Board of Education, administration, sports boosters, and coaches, Sparta offers an inter-scholastic sports program to all students in grades 7-12. In addition, community programs exist for youngsters ages seven and up in the areas of soccer, freestyle wrestling, football, and baseball. Camps for skill development in a particular sport are offered throughout the year to all community youngsters.
